Citydash is in the shadow of the Gherkin this April, and you can play our new Aldgate Zone each weekend. Players will be running, hiding, and finding checkpoints around the streets with the guards in hot pursuit. If you come to play and want to make a day of it, there are plenty of other things in the area for you and your team to do – in fact, it’s a great place to hang out!
Playing Citydash can certainly work up an appetite. Fortunately, Aldgate has some great places to eat. To the north of our play zone is Spitalfields Market, where you can find lots of popular restaurants and shops all in one place. To the east of the play zone, Brick Lane is the place to go if you want to spice up your life with a curry. Depending on which day you play, you might opt to stay and eat in one of our HQs: City Sports Pub and Grill and The Bull and the Hide.
Maybe Citydash has made you hungry for more games, in which case you also have options. All Star Lanes on Brick Lane is a great place to hang out with your friends: they have bowling AND private karaoke rooms! The Old Truman Brewery hosts a number of popular night spots if you want to stay out late, and is also the London home of Junkyard Golf, for those who fancy some crazy putting action.
If you are drawn to the dark side of London’s history, then take some time to note the area’s connections with Jack the Ripper. On the edge of the zone is The Ten Bells, a pub believed to have been visited by some of the Ripper’s victims. If you want to learn more about this horrible history, we recommend the London Walks Jack the Ripper Tour which takes place every evening.
So, if you are planning a celebration this April, or just want to spend a day hanging out with your friends, make Citydash Aldgate a part of your day!
